Default player retention

i may be that one problem we have is player retention. i think, and i could be wrong, that because this game is "that much fun" that some players are getting in trouble at home with spouses etc. and are being forced to choose...i dont see a remedy for this. gonna miss her

Thanks Cal,

FYI the weapon types are active, and count towards a units combat value. So don't send the guys with the muskets in first

are the entrenchment icons supposed to remain until the hex is evacuated?

There are technically 2 types of entrenchment icons.

The first is the semi-transparent (light grey) one that shows up when you are issuing the Hold and Entrench order. Its light grey and semi-transparent as we are trying to show you that you've issue an order for the unit to build an entrenchment that turn (if they don't get interrupted). These are implemented in the UI but do not yet make it through to the engine.

The second is the black ink one that will show up if your unit was successful in building the entrenchment last turn. These will be implemented by the engine so you won't be seeing them just yet (though you are getting a defensive bonus from them). And yes, the current rules say these remain on the board until the hex is vacant. In the next engine patch, however, this is changing. The built entrenchments will remain on the board for the whole game.

Does this help Cal?

Jeff

Default cleburne 34

you must click the "issue commands" bar on the map page after making all your moves to complete your turn and register commands. also... where you from... cleburne isn't the most recognizable CW general... i'm guessing KY or TN

I totally agree about it being so much fun that spouses or significant others just don't understand...meanwhile, those "honey-do" lists and chores just grow and grow....oh well...
